The International Journal of Golf Science (IJGS) is the official journal of Golf Science and the World Scientific Congress of Golf. The mission of the journal is to advance the scientific knowledge of the game of golf and enhance the game through the application of that knowledge. The journal is dedicated to stimulating and disseminating peer-reviewed research related to the golfer, equipment and technology, the golf course, business and management, and golf analytics. Submissions in the form of theoretical and applied research, review articles, and research notes are welcomed.
Each WSCG will produce an IJGS supplement issue containing the research abstracts. Papers submitted do not have to include golfers or test golf so long as they further our understanding of one or more aspects of golf.
Since June 2018, the journal has been published by Scholastica as an Open Access journal and aims to not only provide the latest high-quality academic research, but also invite authors to provide a lay summary of the implications of their research. Copies of these documents can be found in the blog section of this website.
Copies of all published papers since 2012 have now been uploaded to the site and are available to view and download free of charge.
